Unify Read Evidence Surface
Artifacts
Official change artifacts tracked under openspec/.
PDPP now exposes read paths through REST, CLI, MCP, and the owner console. The surfaces share the same underlying records and grants, but their evidence presentation, truncation, continuation handles, and display semantics can drift.
The goal is a single, shared read/evidence model that makes owner-controlled personal data usable through agents and developer tools without inventing competing semantics per surface.
Affected capabilities
Capability specs this change proposes to modify.
The MCP adapter SHALL expose model-controlled read tools over grant-scoped PDPP client tokens. The adapter SHALL NOT issue grants, request new authorization, run connectors, access reference owner-control endpoints, or broaden the grant scope.
The reference implementation SHALL provide shared read/evidence semantics for evidence cards, continuation descriptors, truncation descriptors, binary metadata, manifest-declared presentation, and stable record identity. MCP, CLI, REST evidence projections, and console surfaces SHALL use those shared semantics when rendering the same read evidence concept.
